COLOSSUS OF RAMESSES II. The original huge colossus of Ramesses II is about fourteen meters high. Prisse d'Avennes firstly found this colossus in the mud in the area of the temple of Ptah at Memphis, and he completed it with feet and a pedestal in his drawing.
