Painted Box Tutankhamen in his Chariot. This painted wooden chest of King Tutankhamun is found from his tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Ramesses II is standing in his chariot and attacking a group of Nubians. On the small sides of the chest, the king is portrayed in the traditional image of a Sphinx treading Egypt's southern and northern enemies. The chest was inspired by the great mural compositions of the Eighteenth Dynasty. The painted chest expresses the theme: "Great god, who conquers all the enemy like the rising of the sun over the foreign lands". Chest measures 12cm x 15cm x 8.5
