David (daw-veed) is one of the best-known hereos of all the Scriptures. Borne of the tribe of Judah circa 1040 B.C., David was a direct physical ancestor of Jesus Christ and was described as handsome, ruddy, and short in stature. David was both a skilled fighter and a fine musician. His claim to fame was the single fatal blow he delivered to Goliath with his slingshot. The heroic act won him people's heart. Despite the jealous King Saul's murder attempts, David remained loyal and even saved Saul's life. Eventually, David reigned as King of Israel for 40years and 6 months. Measures approx 29cm x 14cm.
