Tutankhamun's Inner Coffin. Tutankhamun became the pharaoh at the age of 8 and was the youngest pharaoh in the history of ancient Egypt. His body was covered in 3 different layers of coffins. Here we have the inner coffin, whiich is believed to be the most treasured. The original was made from beaten 22-carat solid gold, measuring 187cm in length. The style of the sarcophagus follows the traditional fashion of Osiris, the god of the afterlife and the first ruler of Egypt. Measuring 40cm high x 11cm wide
